Christmas Greetings!
Dear Friends:
Our very warmest wishes to everyone — but especially our deeply-appreciated donors (without whom this apostolate, Biblical Foundations International, couldn’t continue to proclaim, explain, and defend the classic Catholic Faith throughout the world), customers, friends, interested parties, and all people of good will (Luke 2:14) — for a most Blessed Christmas and a grace-filled and spiritually fruitful New Year.
Please remember that Christmas isn’t over at midnight tonight. Today’s (December 25) feast of Our Lord’s Nativity only inaugurates the 40-day liturgical season of Christmastide, which doesn’t end until the Feast of the Presentation (also known as the Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary) on February 2 (the event we reflect on in the fourth joyful mystery of the rosary). Throughout the entirety of this holy season let us make an extra effort to steadfastly contemplate each day the mind-boggling mystery of the Incarnation, and let us utilize every resource available to use to enter more deeply into the awe that should suffuse our souls in the face of our God’s gracious condescension in entering into the human experience.
This Saturday (December 30) at 9 pm Eastern — as we do each Saturday at 9 pm — we will continue our weekly series of free Facebook Live broadcasts discussing Dom Guéranger’s “Liturgical Year” by exploring the readings for this week ending on Saturday, i.e., the readings for yesterday (the Fourth Sunday of Advent), today (the Feast of the Nativity), and this entire first week of Christmas. I’ll have some important announcements about resuming our other weekly series on the Old Testament, New Testament, dogmatic theology, and apologetics, so please join us and cast your vote on what topics you’d like us to cover in 2018!
Also look here each Sunday for weekly updates from now on, providing news of upcoming events, projects, and new products (CDs, books, public lectures and debates, etc.).
May Almighty God fill you with indescribable joy as you celebrate the coming of His Son to earth to establish His long-predicted Kingdom.
Yours in Christ our Incarnate King and Mary his joyful Mother,
Gerry Matatics
