Gerry speaks in New England, June 30-July 6

Gerry speaks in New England, June 30-July 6

URGENT CANCELLATION NOTICE: As I warned in the June 16 post that appears below, any locale with insufficient numbers of pre-registrants to make giving the talk there financially viable will unfortunately have to be postponed (to be possibly rescheduled at a later date).

As of this writing, the four talks in Warwick, Rhode Island (Providence area), Norwood, Massachusetts (Boston area), Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Auburn, Maine have regrettably been forced to be canceled for this reason.

I will have more to say about this, and the lamentable behind-the-scenes goings-on bringing this about, in a subsequent post.

In the meantime, I'm keeping the June 16 post up so that folks can see what was originally planned, and what could have transpired had circumstances been otherwise. And as the following post mentions, there is a second sweep of New England planned for early August that will encompass Connecticut, western and later southeastern Massachusetts, Vermont, southwestern and northern New Hampshire, and northern Maine.

Dear Friends:

The massive and relentless opposition I’ve always encountered in my efforts (with God as my help) to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth regarding the counterfeit Catholicism of our day has dramatically accelerated in the past several months — much of it vile and malevolent.

(In my next article, entitled "You Tell the Truth, You Pay the Price," I’ll be providing verbatim examples of some of the nasty hate mail I’ve been receiving, even from clergy; I hope you won’t be shocked.)

Undeterred (by God’s grace) by this frantic flood of hysterical, uncharitable, and logically incoherent opposition, I keep moving forward, currently with a week-long lecture tour featuring my new talk throughout New England, beginning two weeks from today (June 30 - July 6).

I’m informing all of you — not just those of you living in New England — about this so that you can keep the success of these talks in your prayers.

Obviously if you live within an hour’s drive of any of the locations listed below, I’d love to see you, and you should have already received a printed flier from me in the mail several days ago. I mailed out over 600 fliers to everyone within an hour’s drive of any of the four locations I’ll be speaking: over 75 to Rhode Island, over 100 to southern Maine, over 125 to southeastern New Hampshire, and over 300 to eastern Massachusetts.

If you have any family or friends who live in New England, tell me and I'll immediately email you a PDF version of that flier, so you can email it to them.

My new talk is entitled “What Scripture Says About the End-Times Infiltration of the Church: An In-depth Look at the Letter of St. Jude.” God willing, I hope to give this talk on the following dates, at the specified four locations:

As at all my talks, a free-wheeling Q & A / discussion & debate session follows the talk, for those wishing to stay. People are welcome to ask me (or argue with me) about anything: Is religious truth knowable with certainty? Why theism rather than atheism? If theism, why Christianity rather than Judaism or Islam? If Christianity, why Catholicism rather than Eastern Orthodoxy or Protestantism? What’s right and wrong about the Catholic “traditionalist” movement? As always, people of all faiths (or none) are warmly welcome!

Seating is EXTREMELY limited for these events. Anyone wishing to attend MUST pre-register IMMEDIATELY by emailing me at gerrymatatics@gerrymatatics.org. Those who don’t have email can call me at (570) 969-1724 and leave their name, phone number (in case the talk is rescheduled due to low pre-registration numbers), the number of people attending, and should specify which location they wish to attend.

The talk is FREE, but a voluntary donation is suggested to help defray the considerable costs I have already incurred and will incur (mailing out the over 600 fliers, meeting room rental costs, travel expenses, etc.). The suggested amount is $10 per person, $15 per couple, or $20 for an entire family. No one will be turned away for lack of funds, however!

If you were to look at a large map of New England, you would see that these four talks are spread out along a vertical corridor spanning the eastern half of New England, so that everyone within that corridor can get to a talk by driving no more than an hour or so.

I plan to follow up in early August with a second trip covering an equally-sized vertical corridor covering the western half of New England, with two talks in Connecticut (one in the south, one in the north), one in western Massachusetts, and two in Vermont (one in the south, one in the north) — as well as one in northern New Hampshire (for those living over an hour from Portsmouth), one in northern Maine (for those living over an hour from Auburn), and one on Cape Cod in Massachusetts (since those folks are over an hour away from Boston).

To continue to do this necessary work of exposing the origins, nature, agenda, and results of the counterfeit Catholicism of our day (as predicted in Sacred Scripture), I need your continued support — both prayer and financial.

If you don’t already donate to Biblical Foundations International on a monthly basis, would you please prayerfully consider giving some much-needed and much-appreciated alms right now by sending me a donation of $100 (or more, if you are able) to help me keep moving forward with these trips and my many other projects?

We urgently need several donations of $100 or more to cover the many costs of this trip, but a donation of any amount will enable this full-time apostolate to keep operating and moving forward with new trips, talks, CDs, and other projects.

As I stated in last month's post announcing this same talk in the Washington DC area, Biblical Foundations is still severely underfunded and operating on a shoestring budget, and with nine children we are still living below the poverty level. But, as I always say, if I were doing this to make money, I would have quit long, long ago.

1) The quickest, easiest way to donate is to go to any page on this website and click on the gold-colored “Make a Donation” button in the upper right area of the page to use PayPal to make a donation.

2) Or you can call me at (570) 969-1724 to use your Discover, Visa, or MasterCard to make a donation. If you get my voicemail because I’m away from my desk, just leave on the recording your credit card information (your name exactly as it appears on the card, your billing address, the 16-digit card number and expiration date, and the 3-digit security code on the back of the card) and the amount you wish to donate.

3) A third option is to make out a check or money order, payable to either “Gerry Matatics” or “Biblical Foundations International,” and mail it to me at PO Box 569, Dunmore PA 18512.

All those donating $50 or more will receive a free copy of the CD recording of the talk I’m giving on this trip (God willing) on “Biblical Teaching on End-Times Infiltration of the Church.” As always, the loyal handful of folks (alas, all too few) who already regularly donate on a monthly basis don’t need to specifically request a copy of the CD, but will automatically receive one in the mail as soon as it’s produced.

Thank you for your generous and sacrificial support of this adventurous but astoundingly under-funded apostolate. We continue to operate — as we have for quite some time now — on a huge deficit. (That is to say, Biblical Foundations International’s modest monthly expenses far outstrip its even more modest monthly income of sales and donations.)

But we feel strongly that God wants us to continue this Jeremiah-like ministry lamenting the exile of true Catholics from their churches, just as God’s covenant people in the Old Testament were exiled from their land, their temple desecrated and destroyed, for similar reasons of unfaithfulness to God’s covenant directives on the part of those who professed to be God’s people but who, in fact, had fatally compromised the integrity of their commitment to God’s truth, and thus earned His chastisement, as we have in these end times.

We remember all our donors and their loved ones, living and deceased, in our daily rosaries and other prayers. May Almighty God grant you and all your loved ones all the graces necessary to know and do His holy will.

Yours in Christ our conquering King and Mary our mighty Queen Mother,
