SPECIAL BROADCAST TONIGHT (THURS, JAN 11)
I reserve the right to, from time to time, pre-empt my “regularly scheduled broadcasting” on my Facebook public figure page to bring you a special broadcast event, just to keep things interesting and exciting.
That’s exactly what’s happening tonight (Thurs, Jan 11) at 9 pm Eastern. Instead of a discussion of the next psalm (Psalm 9) in our nearly-nightly “School of Psalms” class, I’ll be reading you something I’m confident you’ll find delightfully entertaining as well as deeply edifying. I read it to my family, broken up into installments, during the first few days of the Christmastide (a season still very much in full swing, as it continues through February 2, the Feast of the Presentation and Purification of the Blessed Virgin), and I feel I ought to share it with you, my wider spiritual family, as well.
I should warn you in advance that the broadcast will take over an hour. Since it will be a reading and not a discussion, I won’t be looking for (or responding to) questions or comments, so in that regard there’s no real necessity or even advantage for you to tune it at 9 pm to hear me read it “live”; you could, if it’s more convenient for you, simply listen to my recording — and hopefully play it for your family, especially older (grades 3 and up) children and/or grandchildren — whenever it best suits your schedule.
But if you want to tune in at 9 tonight, I’d of course be delighted. I won’t be greeting anyone if they text me, however, as I hope to put the recording on a couple of CDs and make them available for purchase, and so don’t wish to interrupt the recording to chat. (As always, I’ll be sending a free copy of the 2-CD set to my regular monthly donors, as well as a few generous occasional donors.)
9 pm is almost upon us!
