Gerry's FINAL talks EVER in southern & central California June 26 - July 1

Gerry's FINAL talks EVER in southern & central California June 26 - July 1

Dear Friends in southern and central California:

On June 26 I will, God willing, bring my ongoing, six-year-long, 300-city "mega tour" to southern and central California for six days of talks in six different cities: San Diego, Colton (Riverside/San Bernadino area), Fullerton (Orange County), Woodland Hills (northwest Los Angeles), San Luis Obispo, and Bakersfield.

Although at each location I'll give my showcase talk on "Counterfeit Catholicism: Why Vatican II, the New Mass, and Benedict XVI Are Not What They Claim to Be," this trip is unusual in that I will be giving numerous other talks as well on apologetics, family isues, and the sacraments, in order to make new digital recordings (with updated, improved content) of many talks I've been selling recordings of that were made years ago.

1. Thus, on Thursday, June 26, I will speak all day and evening in San Diego. During the day, from 10 am to 6 pm, I'll give 5 talks on apologetics, with two talks before lunch critiquing the twin pillars of Protestantism (sola fide and sola scriptura), and three talks after lunch demonstrating the Biblical basis of the three Catholic doctrines Protestants find most problematic: the papacy, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the Eucharist.

In the evening, after an hour and a half dinner break, I'll give a 75-minute abridged version of my "Counterfeit Catholicism" presentation, followed by a Q & A session. (I'll be giving the full, all-day version of this seminar on Saturday in Orange County; see below.)

Here is the detailed schedule for San Diego:

3. The next day (Saturday, June 28), in Orange County I'll be giving an all-day, expanded seminar version of my "Counterfeit Catholicism" talk that will go into much more theological, canonical, Biblical, and historical detail that I have time to cover in the evening, single-talk abridged version. I expect a broad turnout from all over southern California for this very special and exciting event. Here's the detailed schedule:

4. The next day (Sunday, June 29) in northwest Los Angeles (Woodland Hills, in the San Fernando Valley), during the afternoon I'll be giving an updated version of one of our most popular series, demonstrating the Biblical basis for Catholic teaching on the seven sacraments, followed in the evening, once again, by the "Counterfeit Catholicism" single talk. The schedule is as follows:

Where: Holiday Inn
21101 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills CA 91364, phone (818) 883-6110

8:45 pm: Q & A (leave when you wish)

Obviously on any of the above days (Thursday in San Diego, Friday in Colton, Saturday in Fullerton, and Sunday in Woodland Hills) one could attend the daytime talks without attending the evening one, or vice versa.

5. On Monday evening in San Luis Obispo on the Central Coast,  I'll again be giving the abridged "Counterfeit Catholicism" talk:

When: Monday, June 30, 7 -9 pm
Where: Holiday Inn Express
1800 Monterey St, San Luis Obispo CA 93401, phone (805) 544-8600
What: Counterfeit Catholicism: Why Vatican II, the New Mass, and Benedict XVI Are Not What They Claim to Be
7:00 – 8:15 pm: talk
8:15 pm: Q & A (leave when you wish)

6. I'll repeat this on Tuesday evening in Bakersfield in central inland California:

When: Tuesday, July 1, 7-9 pm
Where: Holiday Inn Express
4400 Hughes Ln, Bakersfield CA 93304, phone (661) 833-3000
What: Counterfeit Catholicism: Why Vatican II, the New Mass, and Benedict XVI Are Not What They Claim to Be
7:00 – 8:15 pm: talk
8:15 pm: Q & A (leave when you wish)

The suggested donation for attending any day or evening conference is $10 per person, $15 per couple, $20 for entire family. No one is ever turned for lack of funds, however. Visa, MasterCard, checks, and cash are accepted. At each talk there will be important books & CDs for sale.

As always, I'll be frank with you: even after having pinched every penny, my costs for this trip will run into thousands of dollars, and I seriously doubt the funds I will receive from admissions and book and CD sales will even allow me to break even. If this trip runs up a major deficit, as have most of the trips composing the "mega tour" thus far, I won't be able to continue my mega tour beyond this California trip.

If you believe in this apostolate and would like to make a contribution, large or small, toward underwriting the costs of this important trip, please call me at (570) 969-1724, fax me at (570) 969-1725, e-mail me at gmatatics@aol.com, or mail a donation (make your check or money order payable to "Biblical Foundations International") to PO Box 569, Dunmore PA 18512.

May Almighty God richly reward you for your generous support, both now and in eternity. And if you live in southern or central California, I hope to see you at one or more of these exciting events! God bless you!

Yours for the proclamation of the authentic Catholic Faith,
outside of which there is no salvation,

Gerry Matatics
